Monday, February 25

Good Morning!
Several steps to your blogging directions today:
1. Add a "comment" to this post that includes a 3-4 sentence description of your literary criticism topic.
2. On your blog, create a new post that includes FIVE characteristics you found in the 4 literary criticisms you read this weekend.
3. Finally, write a paragraph that summarizes the lit crit you found to be most intersting, and detail why you thought it was the most interesting of the articles.
As always, read and comment on 3 of your classmates posts or lit crit topics.

Happy Monday!

Chapter 25.5

Good Morning!
Today, please post a summary of your "missing chapter". In the interest of avoiding posting Holden's language :) I decided to just have you give a quick paragraph or so about what happens to Holden in your chapter. We will have a reading of the full chapters tomorrow.
As always, please read and comment on at least 3 other posts.

Monday, January 14

Good Morning, and welcome back to your blergs!

Today, you will be commenting on each other's projects.

1.Please go to Voice Thread, log in to your account
2. Listen to at least THREE projects created by members of this class today.
3. THIS ONE IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! Create ONE text comment during the project and ONE comment at the end of the project. The comments should react to the CONTENT of the project, NOT simply saying that the person did a good job or you "liked" their presentation.

Creating Your Voice Thread

Good Morning!
1. Print your essay if you haven't done so already. You definitely need a hard copy of the essay for recording.
2. Log on to www.voicethread.com and click "create". This will create a new project - please give it a title.
3. You will need at least 5 pictures for this presentation, one per paragraph of your essay, but please feel free to do more. You will just record different parts over each photo.
4. You can upload your pictures in different ways:
- Copy and paste the URL of a "full sized image" from google images.
- Upload a photo from your desktop
- Upload a photo from other media sources.
5. At this point, the primary thing we need to accomplish today is to creat the slides for the presentation. When it comes time for recording, I will have separate instructions for you.

Happy Voice Threading!!!

My Voice Thread

https://voicethread.com/share/3822503/

Check this out - hope it works!
A few notes:
1. The first recording I did was with my cell phone. You have THREE MINUTES of cell time to record a message. Once you start recording you automatically lose one minute. I recorded a message of roughly 20 seconds, but it still "charged" me one minute. Use your minutes wisely!
2. During that recording I purposely on prepared about 15 seconds of material. You can DEFINITELY tell when I don't know what I'm saying.
3. During the other slides, you can hear differences in volume and clarity. Put the mic too far away and it's too quiet. Put it too close, and you can hear every breath and "P" sound you make.
4. Notice the different comments you can make - Mrs. Duell called one in, she recorded one, and she sent a text as the third.

Enjoy!
